Lorry-motor cycle accident
which brought death to ..Sumathipala Manawadu -- CCTV footage
Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna Western Provincial Council candidate and trade union leader M. Sumathipala Manawadu met with death a few days ago as a result of meeting with a road accident on the Colombo-Kandy road at Imbulgoda.
Mr. Manawadu was riding a motor cycle day-before-yesterday (24) around 8.07
in the night with a bowser travelling in front of him and not having noticed that a lorry was coming from the other side had tried to overtake the bowser when he was run over by the container after which he passed away.
The driver of the lorry had fled the scene in the vehicle; but was nabbed by the police at Polgahawela.
It was possible to retrieve live scenes of the accident from a nearby house. See video BELOW
