Mervin who is still not dead ....
erects his tomb close to Jothipala's tomb!
Minister Mervin Silva made yet another media show this morning (25) at Borella Kanatta by opening up his tomb.
He had erected a tomb in the vicinity of where incomparable singer H.R. Jothipala's ashes were deposited. While he had made a request that
his ashes be deposited there, ashes of his mother was brought from another site and deposited there. Delivering a speech, what he said was to inscribe the good deeds he did on one side of his tomb and to write his bad deeds on the other side.
While it is a disputable fact to reserve space for a tomb at Borella Kanatta for Minister Mervin Silva who is still among the living, it is said that no space and facilities are available there now even for those who are dead. Though son of celebrated artiste Henry Jayasena valiantly tried to allocate space for a tomb for his father sometime ago, later he had spoken about his failure to get positive results in that connection to the media mentioning that it ultimately turned out to be a tedious task.
It is something of special interest to note that the site reserved for Minister Mervin who is still not dead as such, lies close to the tomb of popular singer Jothipala.
