The young man who played the devil ..... at Galle Face Green on Freedom Day
Yesterday (Feb 4) was Freedom Day and a large crowd had gathered there to spend their free time. Because of a foolish behaviour of a certain young man, there was confusion among the crowd gathered there. The young man was enjoying himself by playing a game of ball in the sea without
thinking of the danger he was confronted with. Though the police signalled him to come ashore, he turned a deaf-ear to them.
Though some people there showed him cash-notes and tried to call him ashore, even that strategy did not work. The police tried many a time but he was dodging them and kept swimming about. However in the end he was caught and ultimately handed over to the Colpetty police.
