Anura Kumara speaks about his family background

Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayaka after being elected as the new leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna made a speech and revealed about his family background at the speech he made saying that his mother could not read or write while his father was a  measuring labourer.


His address is as follows: "I am to talk about myself, my appachchi is a  measuring labourer. My mother can't even read and write. Who made such people great leaders of this country?
