Rupavahini State Awards Festival organised by Cultural Affairs Department in association with Manaram Media to appreciate tele-dramas was held yesterday (Jan 12) at Bandaranaike Memorial Hall. Mnaka Pieris (Moneratenna) was adjudged the Best Actress and Shriyantha Mendis (Dhawala Kadulla) was chosen as the Best Actor on the occasion.
The Best Tele-drama Award was claimed by Anuruddha Jayasingha's 'Yakada Pahanthiraya' which was broadcast over Hiru TV.
