In this condition the child was initially admitted to the Hambantota hospital and later he was transferred to Galle Karapitiya teaching hospital that evening with the scissor intact. After a miraculous operation performed by Galle Karapitiya Teaching hospital, Neuro-specialist Nishantha Gunasekera and his team of doctors, the child is now convalescing.
It is understood that the scissor had pierced about 5 mm. deep into the skull and that there were a few injuries affecting the brain. After completing the surgery successfully the Neuro-surgeon then took steps to remove the scissor which did all the damage to the child.
