Two celebrations for Prince Charles's 65th birthday yesterday
Prince Charles, heir to the British crown who arrived in the island yesterday evening celebrated his 65th birthday last evening at two different locations.The first was celebrated at the British High Commission while the second was held at the Janadhipathi Mandiraya in Fort.
Charles and Camilla both attended these occasions and the birthday cake on the occasion was decorated with the figure 65 on it in simple fashion.
Rumours spread around to the effect that Prince Charles will be retiring after the age of 65 and that official duties such as this would be taken over by William; which Camilla said was untrue.
