Koswatta quintuplets celebrate First Birthday

Readers may recall the event of quintuplets being born to the couple Menisha -- Denton in Koswatta, Talahena exactly an year ago from now. These children were born in a private hospital and after their birth, 3 children were found underweight and for that very reason they were retained at the Immatured Infant Unit at Women's Hospital in Castle street, Colombo.  3 children were females while 2 were males.

     The first birthday of these babies fell yesterday. Parents of the children had planned to celebrate the birthday yesterday by getting together with doctors of the Women's Hospital in Castle Street and also its staff members. The couple said: "At the start it was a bit difficult ... but fortunately everyone is alright. It was the doctors at Castle who helped".
