First tour of President on Katunayaka Expressway (video)

The first opening tour on the Colombo - Katunayaka was launched by the Hon.President Mahinda Rajapaksha. The motor car in which he and the First Lady, Madam Shirani Rajapaksha travelled began from the Peliyagoda entry point heading to Katunayaka.

   On this occasion there were security as well as a number of special motorcades carrying visitors following the President and also security motor bicycles permitted for the occasion although they are not allowed on the expressway.

  The tour was covered by a live Rupavahini broadcast accompanied by camera equipment  in jeeps capturing scenes  and the camera crew were travelling parallel and in front of the President's vehicle plus Rupavahini CCTV footage.
