2013 Miss World crown to ... A Fillipino tele-actress
Megan Yung, a Phillipine tele-actress was the lucky winner of the crown of Miss Wold Beauty Queen Pageant 2013 concluded last night in Bali Islands, Indonesia.
23 year old Megan was born in America and by the age of 10 years she had migrated to the Phillipines. She is involved in directing a number of Phillipine television programmes while also having participated in thirty-odd teledramas and 11 films as well and she happens to be a popular actress in the country. Megan is presently undergoing a course of studies on Digital Cinema and is also employed in the media network of ABS and CBN. Her Younger sister is resident in America and is the popular Hollywood actress, Loren Yung.
The Miss World Beauty Queen contest in which 127 countries participated, the Runner-up was a French contestant while the second Runner up was from Ghana. The crown for the Best Model also went to Phillipines. Brazil won the Best Fashion Design Contest while Netherlands clinched the Best Sportswoman crown with Indonesia winning the contest on Skills and Nepal winning the Social Welfare Award.
