With birth of wife's second baby ....Lasith Malinga bades goodbye to cricket
In the recent past Lasith Malinga rejected joining the Champion's League competition and Zimbabwe Cricket Competition which was to be held in India saying that it was for personal reasons.
It is reported that this personal reason was nothing other than the second birth of his wife Tania's child which was to take place a few day's ahead and that Lasith Malinga did not have the heart to leave this event and go and participate in cricket. Lasith Malinga and his wife Tania already have a daughter aged 2 years and the second baby, it is reported, is expected towards the end of September.
As Malinga is not playing for the Champions League expected to begin towards the end of September, it was reported that the Mumbai team would be deducting a sum of 20% from his annual income.
