TEACHER OF ROYAL COLLEGE PROTESTS AGAINST TRANSFER

Teacher of Royal College climbs rooftop ....and protests


    A lady teacher of Royal College, Colombo climbed the roof of a building of the College and staged a protest today. She who was wearing a saree had gone to the rooftop with some difficulty. She had compelled the Principal via her mobile phone to settle her problem without delay.

   A large crowd watched her speaking over the phone from the rooftop of the building and she had insisted that until her problem is solved, she would not get down. She has started this protest because the Principal had ignored solving a problem regarding a transfer she had been given. What the Principal told the media was that though he was taking steps to provide her with another school instead of the school she had been offered, that opportunity too had been rejected by her.

    This was the first occasion where such an incident has been reported.
