RUHUNU SEVAYA LEASED TO PRIVATE SECTOR

Ruhunu Sevaya which is a prominent provincial radio channel belonging to the SLBC has been leased out to the private sector as from July 1st this year.

    It is said that the present expenditure of Ruhunu Sevaya is about 12 lakhs while the profit is only 5 lakhs. Subsequent to the sale, Sanasa Media Network has promised to pay 15 lakhs for a period of 2 years. According to the new administration, it is reported that the direction of radio programmes too would take place.
