AKALANKA SPEAKS ABOUT HIS MARRIAGE

Why should I marry Pabha ...?

   Rumours spread around recently about a cricketer-actor who was hoping to marry teledrama actress Upeksha Swarnamali. Both Pabha and Akalanka said that this was a false rumour. The latest news is that Akalanka Ganegama is to get married in the recent future. But it is supposed that he would of course not be getting married to Upeksha Swarnamali with whom he acted together in the film Cinderella. Akalanka spoke about this to weekend Rivira newspaper expressing his ideas.

    "I am now making arrangements, in a casual sense, to get married in the coming month of October. If by some chance it will not be possible, it may be postponed for the beginning of next year. It's not Upeksha whom I am going to marry. My fiancee is not someone who is connected to the field of Arts. She is abroad these days. I don't like to reveal what she does and says, right now itself. I'll talk about it when the wedding day is close at hand.

    I and Upeksha appear in two or three creations. But it is different in true life. Upeksha is only a good friend of mine. But she didn't become my true lover. It is normal for such rumours to spread around. But once the truth is known in a short time ... those will fade away".
