HOW DR HARISCHANDRA PASSED AWAY DURING A TV MAKEUP

It is learnt that Dr Harischandra had passed away while during a makeup at Derana TV

The sudden death of famous psychiatrist Dr D.V.J Harischadra made the entire nation to grieve. It was easier published in the media that he died of a heart attack which he had suffered while he on his way to Combo from Galle.
Now it has been revealed that he had died  in the TV Derana premises. But now it is learnt that while he was preparing for the ‘live’ SITH GIMAN HALA programme while he was been given the necessary make up his eyes had gone upwards and his mouth hah got pointed downwards and his heard area had come downwards002EThen he had been admitted to the Kalubowila Teaching hospital where he had died on admission.
His makeup had been done by one Miss Malka Niromi Perera ,27 year old makeup artiste At the post mortem she had disclosed........”I joined the Dearana Television Company in the year 2010 as a makeup artiste. Before the commencement of a programme my duty was to do make up for the artistes.
On the 1st March to those who participated in the ‘Sith Giman Hala programme I was entrusted to do their makeup work. When the psychiatrist Dr Hariscahndra arrived I did his makeup. When I was attending to him he was alright. Before I applied powder on him I asked him ,’Doctorr are any patients are due to come for the programme. The doctor although he looked at my face did not give an answer to my question’. While looking on at me his eyes went focussed upwards. His mouth got opened. He kept his arm on the door frame .I observed that Doctor was getting tilted to a side as if he was lifeless. Before doctor could fall I screamed and people down. Immediately he was taken in a motor car and was taken to the kalubowila Teaching hospital.”
The version of the producer of Derana’s Sith Giman Hala, Prasad Chaminda had told this in his evidence....” This programme is telecast live on every Friday. We got down Doctor Harischandra to our studio at 7.30 a.m. Like on any other day he consumed his breakfast on that day. He spoke in his usual manner. He did not drink the cup of tea as it was too hot. He had a wash in the toilet and shaved his beared.
.Then he dressed up in his usual manner. While he was having the make only I heard a noise and saw the incident. Immediately he was taken in cameraman Manjula’s vehicle to the Kalubowila Teaching hospital. He had passed away around 9 a.m. “
At the post mortem the inquirer into sudden death M/s L.H.S Rodrigo gave the verdict as a natural death following a heart attack.
His funeral took place in Galle midst a large yesterday (3rd)
