Duminda is remanded while in hospital
Additional Colombo Magistrate gives instructions

Today afternoon after an inquiry was made by the Additional Magistrate Sadun Vithana had paid a visit to the Nawaloka hospital to see to himself the condition of Duninda Silva. According to what he had seen he is not in a position to be to be removed to the prison hospital. Hence he had been made a suspect prisoner within the Nawaloka hospital under heavy Police guard.
The Police has given a guard to the Nawaloka hospital .

CID confirms that Duminda Silva has been taken in to custody
Today at 10.05 a.m he had been taken into custody from Ward 77/27 at the Nawalokaka hospital he was treated at. A CID officer had taken him to custody on the instructions of the Magistrate, of the Colombo Magistrate courts .This was informed to the courts authorities. However the Magistrate has asked to give him a police guard at the hospital ward.
In the meantime the Magistrate has told that he would be personnel visiting ward 77/27 at the Nawaloka hospital to his condition. However he added that the Duminda Silva,s case would be heard either at the Magistrate courts, at the prison hospital or at the Nawaloka hospital on the next hearing day the 15th of March.
According to a media spokesman the most happy person is the slain Bharatha Lakhsman Premachandra’s daughter who was happy he Duminda Silva has come back to Sri Lanka. She has added that it is from now on the real fight would begin.

Duminda Silva at Nawaloka Hospital
Today morning at 9.30 am when the Bharatha Lakhsman Premachandra murder case was taken up at the Colombo Magistrate courts, the magistrate had questioned whether the suspect Duminda Silva has appeared in courts. The lawuers who appeared for Duminda Silva had said it was only this morning that he arrived in the country and as his condition was not at all stable he was admitted to the Nawaloka hospital. Hence his presence for the proceedings in courts is highly not certain.
But it was mentioned if he feels better he may be able to bring to courts in the afternoon. In order to ascertain his condition officers from the CID had been sent to the Nawaloka hospital in this regard. The hearing of the case in this context had been postponed by a few hours.It is also not certain whether he could be produced on the next hearing day as it is not certain how long he would take to recover to appear before courts.

Today Morning Duminda Silva had arrived in Sri Lanka at 1.29 am via Emirates flight No EK 129 During the past one year or so there was a huge uproar in this country that a suspect in the Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra murder case the a suspect Member of Paliament, Duminda Silva had been flown to Queen Elizebeth hospital in Singapore to attend to his head injuries. Today morning at the request of the Magistrates courts as he was a suspect had to be brought to Sri Lanka to appear for the case to be heard today. He had come on Dubai Emirates Airline flight no EK 129 flight which had landed at the BIA at 1.29 am today the 5th.This had been a direct flight from Singapore. After he disembarked from the plane he had been brought by his associates in a wheel chair and from the airport he was brought to Colombo in a vehicle.His exact condition and whether he spoke or not had not been revealed.The Airport authorities however confirmed that he arrived in that Emirates EK 129 flight from Singapore. The Bharatha Lakhsman Premachandra murder case is still going on. At the last hearing the Magistrate had named him as suspect and hence as ordered he had be present at today’s hearing at the Colombo’s Magistrate courts,
