Leon the Korean actress who became poular in Sri Lanka because of the drama Sujatha Diyani has sent her greetings to fans in Sri Lanka over the Rupavahini
Leon who speaks a few words in Sinhala too has expressed her thanks to her teledrama fans through this message:
"Ayubowan, mage nama Leon A. bohoma sthuthiy".
I came to know that I received a lot of love from viewers in Sri Lanka. The reason for this is that the character of Changumi was a character which overcame various challenges and a strong one at that and one who gained victory in the end. The character of Changumi displayed a gradual aging process, through self-study and experience. If I were to speak about difficult incidents connected with the shooting of the drama ... though you watched the drama with some pleasantness, we faced a lot of difficulties where the climate was concerned. We had to work hard in starvation and remember a number of dialogues by heart. We heard that our Thejangam drama came to be known as 'Sujatha Diyani' in Sinhala.
I am so delighted that the Thejangam drama received so much unanticipated love from its viewers. It is very good that exhibition of of this teledrama in Sri Lanka has paved the way for bilateral connections between both our countries.
Just as much as the culture of our country had been embraced through Thejangam, you would do the same with our other dramas and films.
I once again thank you for expressing your love to Changumi. (See video below).
