But it is not the truth .He had revealed to the CID investigators the correct stand how they got leaked out through the department of examinations. Nowadays the leaking out of examination papers has become a common practice. The CID investigations had revealed that an officer in the government press has had a major hand in this operation. In addition he had been assisted by two officers attached to the University. One of them is supposed to be a laboratory assistant.
The investigations of the CID had revealed that the O/L papers in Maths, Buddhism and History too had leaked out. It had been revealed that the science question paper had been smuggled into the University premises by inserting it into the back of a large mobile phone after removing the battery. Initially the tuition Sir had got the paper that leaked out had got to his possession through the laboratory assistant. He had not given the entire paper to the tuition Sir. He had done it by reading it out for him to be taken down with the help of a mobile phone. The tuition Sir had declined to his request.
The laboratory assistant had advised the tuition Sir not to let it out to hall students, but to cater it to those tuition masters who conduct individual classes in Gampaha and Nittambuwa areas at high prices. The laboratory assistant had tried to sell the science paper for a sum of Rupees 1 ½ lakhs. It was the same figure for the history paper as well. When the tuition Sir had asked the paper from the laboratory assistant he has refused to give it. Then the transaction had not taken place to plan drawn as expected. The maestro tuition Sir, Sampath Attalage had told to those in an institution where he conducts classes that if these 19 questions he had predicted with the mark ‘smile’ on it do not come in the real science paper he will crawl on the streets in the Minuwangoda town it is reliably reported.
