INOKA’S MYSTRIOUS DEATH

The mysterious death of Inoka who was accompanied by a ‘Madam’ to India to donate some organs in her body

A mysterious death is reported of a married woman 36 years old, having children who had been taken to India by a so called ‘madam’ to donate some organs in her body to be transplanted to her sick husband who is hospitalised in India.
During her operation she had succumbed to death mysteriously. This had been a secret among the neighbours and also about the transaction. It had been reported to be kept as a secret. She had been a resident of Molagala, Mangalagama area in Kegalle. Her elder son is a student in the Advanced level class and she also has in addition a daughter and had been living with them with her father in the same house. She had left to India with one ‘Madam’ on the 12th instant. She had telephoned after five days .After nine days they had received a telephone call that she had died and someone to come to the Airport to receive and claim her dead body.
The father had taken possession of the body brought by a lady not known to him. The father had informed the katunayake Police Station. A post mortem was carried out by the Judiciary Medical officer it had been revealed that her entire liver had been removed.
Inoka had informed her associates that she is leaving to India to see her sick husband. According to an agreement found in her house it had been agreed to donate only a part of her liver. The signature of her placed on the document her home people suspects, is not that of hers,
The Negombo police is conducting inquiries.
