Today the 11th was the day that the cabinet reshuffle of Ministers was to take place. At the last moment in the eleventh hour this had to postponed as astrological predictions was not in favour for the changes that were proposed to be made it is reliably reported. It was reliably reported that the Prime Minister’s post was once again to be given to Ratnasiri Wickremanayake. While the Cabinet Portfolios of the Minister of Higher Education, Minister of Education and that of the Minister in charge of Petroleum were to be reshuffled and was definitely on the cards.

According to the most recent census statistics it has been confirmed that the Sinhalese population in Colombo has dropped to third position, behind the Muslim and Tamil population, from the first position it was in the year 1971.
In the statistics for the year 1971 were perused the Sinhalese population was 50%.However according to the most recent census it had dropped to an alarmingly low level of 24%, which are according to latest reports from the Census and Statistics Department. The Muslim population has increased to 40% while the Tamil population has increased to 33%., reliable reports have confirmed.
In the year 1971 the Muslim population in Colombo was only 19%, but in the year 2012 it had increased to 40%.The Tamil population has increased from 24.5% to 33% according to latest statistics of the Census and Statistics department.

ROSE FERNANDO’s NOSE BITTEN DURING CLASHES BETWEEN THE RIVALRIES WESTERN PROVINCIAL MEMBERS:
During the budget debate of the Western Provincial Council, the Members of the United National Party had come out of the debate meeting and had protested by demonstrated carrying placards. The Government members had come out and had clashed with them using water bottles and other objects to prevent them from demonstrating. This had led in creating a pandemonium like uncontrollable situation. The water bottles and other plastic objects had been thrown at each other.
This clash had begun when the Government Minister Udaya Gamanpila had used excessive powers for the advantage of his party. Some had been bitten on the noses and hands .One of the victims had been M/s Rose Fernando a Member of the UNP, of The opposition party.
