Rain with fish in the Ruhunu campus premises
It is reported from the Ruhunu Campus that along with rain, two types of fish also had been seen after the rain. This had been a very unusual seen at the Ruhunu campus premises in the Mapilana, kamburupitiya area, in the agricultural unit area.
The fish rain had fallen to the other areas as well. The types of fish that had fallen were identified as ‘Hungas’ and ‘Lulas’. It is learnt that the rain had fallen with a ‘tornado’ like situation. It is believed that the fish may have been flown out of the “Lenabatu Wewa’ lake which is in the vicinity.
The fish that was found had been handed over to the Oceanic and Fish technology division of the University for Investigations. Photographs and videos are shown below.
