Yesterday in the ‘BIG BASH’ T/20 cricket tournament that is been held in Australia our won ‘Slinger’ Lasith Malinga representing the ‘MELBOURNE STARS’ against the ‘Perth    Scorchers’ in the Big Bash tournament match where he created a world record by capturing 6 wickets for just 7 runs becoming the only the bowler second to Arul Suppiah who captured 6 wickets for just 5 runs for Somerset against Glamorgan in a T/20 game played at Cardiff in an English T /20 tournament held in the year 2011.

Our own Ajantha Mendis was in second position in this list of bowlers who had performed with best bowling figures in T/20 cricket when he had these figures of 6 wickets for 8 runs against Zimbabwe while representing Sri Lanka.
With this performance Lasith Malinga displaces Ajantha Mendis and becomes the second best bowler in the history of T/ 20 Cricket. The performance of Lasith Malinga was made at Perth yesterday representing, the Melbourne Stars .Michael Dighton holds the best figures of 6 for 25 in Australian T/20 cricket.
