TEACHER MURDERED IN THE BATHROOM

Dhamma School teacher has been killed in the bath room

A dead body of a Dhamma school teacher has been found at Thalagala at her residence yesterday the 28th. The investigations have started as the dead woman’s husband has reported about it to the police after seeing his wife’s dead body in the bath room when he has arrived home after work in the night.
 Swarnalatha Menike Matarage is 48 years old had lived at Meepagala Perages handiya in Thalagala who had been a Dhamma school teacher had been killed and her body was found in the bath room. It is suspected that someone who has entered the house with the intention of stealing would have killed her and the police have found signs of her fighting with the murderer.
There had been a pestle has been found the dead body  The dead woman’s husband, Bandusena Aluthge is an employee in the Hirdramani Company head office in Colombo. It is reported that the gate and doors have been kept open when he had come home with his driver from the office vehicle. When he has entered the house looking for his wife and he had seen in the bathroom  wife’s dead body.
It was said that his wife hasn’t given him a call after 2 p.m in the afternoon and even though he had tried calling her several times, she has not answered the call even at 3 p.m. He has got shocked to see his wife been murdered violently. He has run to the garden not knowing what to do and has screamed his sorrow away. Neighbours have gathered around hearing him crying.
He has called the driver who has left after dropping him and they have searched around. Police have stated that they are suspecting that she has been killed after been beaten and hit by the pestle. Magistrate investigation has been carried out yet no one has been arrested.
