MISS INTERNTIONAL 2nd RUNNER UP IS SRI LANKA’S MADUSHA MAYADUNNE

Sri Lanka’s Madusha Mayadunne wins second runners-up award at Miss International contest:

After a lapse of a considerable period of time, a Sri Lankan was able to win an award at an International beauty pageant. This was achieved by  Madhusha Mayadunne at the Miss International contest held yesterday in Japan’s Okinawa city, where the Miss International contest 2012 was held at a glittering ceremony. Madusha Myadunne who represented Sri Lanka was elected as the 2nd runner up by the Judges which brought laurels and glory to our country. The winner was a Japanese National while the first runner up was a girl who hailed from Finland.
It is pertinent to mention that 77 contestants from different countries participated in this contest. The Sri Lanka Madusha Mayadunne was selected among the final 15 contestants. She was able to successfully capture the 2nd runners-up position beating the other 12 contestants from other overseas countries.
She is an old girl of Visakha Vidyalaya Colombo 4, who had done higher studies in the United College in Atlanta, USA. After studying a strenuous course in modelling, she is now a qualified professional modeller.
She has posed for many cover pages for magazines published in America and Britain. She could speak many languages including Sinhala, English, Hindi and Spanish languages very fluently.
Madusha Mayadunne was selected to represent in this Miss International contest as she was the runner up in the Miss Universe contest held in Sri Lanka. The first place was won by Sabreena Herft who will represent Sri Lanka in the Miss World contest.
