Mervin donates artificial hands for the student who had passed the Grade Five scholarship exam

The other day, when the famous actress Malani Fonseka resigned from the post of a parliamentarian, she and the public had accused her of not doing anything towards the public.
However, afterwards, Malani Fonseka had taken measures to introduce a lottery named “Cinema Wasana”. She has stated that she is planning to use the income from the lotteries towards the welfare of the artists and that she is expecting to increase the allowance of Rs.2000/- that is presently given to the retired artists.
At the same time, Mervin Silva had donated an artificial hand to Deraniyagala Nimesha after importing it from America. Rumours have been spread saying that it looks as a justification of his son’s acts that recently created a huge uproar in the country.
 He had invited this student to his official room along with the officials of Non Governmental Organization which had been behind this contribution, to take measurements of her hand. Mervin Silva addressing the media has stated “Have a look at this… This is what is called public service.”
