PARENTS LEAVING KEPT KIDS IN THE LURCH

After quarrelling the Mother and father had left the dwelling house leaving the two kids in the lurch:

Have any of you heard of a story where both the mother and the father had left their dwelling house leaving the children in the lurch? This incident is reported from the Pamunuwa, Bopitiya area in Ja-ela side.
It is reported that after a quarrel, with the husband, the mother had packed her clothes and other belongings into a travelling bag and had left the dwelling house in a three wheeler. They had lived in a rented house in Bopitiya. The father of the kids too had left the house with his belongings leaving the children. The two children are Ashen the boy aged 5 years and the sister, Hansi only 2 years
The children had been crying without any meals had decided to walk along the road. One lady had seen then crying and walking had asked them the story and felt sorry had taken them to her house and given meals and kept them overnight.
The following day she had taken them to the Pamunuwa Police. The parents or any relatives of the children could not be found by the Police. Their efforts had proved futile in finding them as they had lived in a rented out house. They had taken over the children provided them with clothes and had produced before the Wattala Magistrate who had ordered them to be handed over to a children’s home.
The story is very sad. Just because the parents were fighting with each other leaving the kids in the lurch is a thing that has to be condemned and what should not happen to any family.
