During the past few days there was a huge uproar in the country about Minister Mervin Silva’s son’s involvement in the incident where an Army major was assaulted. This incident was given a lot of publicity in both the print and electronic Medias.
After Malaka Silva was released he had given an interview to a week end Sinhala newspaper namely this Sunday’s Lankadeepa. He had confessed that at the time of the incident he was inside his vehicle. This had been confirmed through a video.
The media had reported this incident differently which had made a huge uproar in the country particularly as he was the son of much spoken about Minister, Mervin Silva. Hereafter he has decided not to behave as a Minister’s son.
He had confessed at this interview that it had been a habit for him to go to night clubs and move with girls. He had told that he never consumes hard liquor but takes only red wine. He also had confessed that there is an opinion amongst the layman that he is addicted to drugs. It is not so he had confessed.
