BUDDHA STOCKINGS AT PETTAH

Socks with Buddha’s image sold at Pettah:

A group of youngsters had come from ‘Nonagama’ in the Matara-  Ambalantota area to Pettah in search of some kind of socks that needed to be worn for a dance group.
They had found the kind of socks they needed from a few shops in Pettah. They had needed these socks for the dance group to wear at a ‘Perahera’ procession in their area. To their amazement they had seen on certain socks the image of Lord Buddha been printed.
These group youngsters intend bringing this matter to the notice of the Police authorities.
