UNUSUAL DENGUE DEATH

A PHI officer has been attacked by a pestle and he had died on the spot

The number of deaths due to dengue had increased over the last few weeks. Therefore, the PHI officers are working on a project to check the gardens and the houses in order to check whether there is a possibility for dengue mosquitoes are growing  up.
The public have been informed that they will have to pay fine if their surroundings are not that healthy and clean which would make it a fine place for the mosquitoes to breed. It is also reported that some PHI officers have make it as a means of income.
52 years old Asegu Mohammed Pillai, a PHI officer at Kantale in Jayanthipura had visited a home in his area and he had advised the owner of the house that there are places which would allow dengue mosquitoes to breed. He has told the owner that he will have to pay a fine and they had been dragged into a fight.
The owner of the house had told that there is no fault on his part, arguing that the PHI officer is wrong. The officer didn’t accept it and continued that the owner should pay the fine. At that time they have started a quarrel and the owner of the house had run into the house and he had come with a pestle. He had been attacked with the pestle and the PHI officer had died on the spot.
The PHI officer whose duty was to protect the villagers from dengue fever and to save their lives had to pay from his own life. Ultimately, the owner of the house having had to pay for the consequences and had been arrested.
