FOOD POISONING AFTER 18 BEND OPENING:

After the reception at the 17th Bend 30 Ududumbara residents get stomach bends:

The ceremonial opening of the 18 bends new road along Mahiyanganaya and Kandy took place yesterday with the President as the Chief Guest.
It is reported that a function at the 17th bend had been organized by the Ports and Highways Ministries where President had made a speech. For this meeting residents of Ududumbara and school children had also participated.
It is learnt that after the meeting was over several people who participated and consumed various types of food had vomited and has had bad stomachs. Accordingly 30 residents of Ududumbara had to be admitted to the Ududumbara hospital for treatment.
