MENAKA SPEAKS WITHOUT THE WORD ‘DIVORCE’

With the prohibited word ‘Divorce’ Menaka gives a newspaper interview:

Popular actor Menaka Rajapaksa after a drastic change in his personal life when he was allowed a separation from his wife on the 23rd, he had given an exclusive interview to this Sunday’s ‘Rivira’ paper. During this interview he had give an answer to the relationship he has had with actress Nehara Peiris.
He had expressed that he and Nehara had visited an overseas country to marry and settle down as incorrectly misinterpreted in a number of Media and a host of web sites. These web sites and certain media had disclosed incorrect information. He had confessed that this information is totally false.

He had expressed "that certain media and web sites had published incorrect information about my personal life without consulting me and obtaining correct data. That information had been published by those people without finding the proper facts, which are baseless. When I think of these I get hurt and they linger within my heart.
During the recent past myself, Nihara and a number of other artists went overseas for shooting of a new Tele-drama. At that time many web sites published incorrect information saying that we have gone abroad to marry and settle down. Hence I refrained from furnishing information to web sites and the Media. They make incorrect stories as they have nothing else to do.
We two have not only portrayed Male and Female lead stories in many Tel- dramas acting together but we have remained close friends for a long period of time associating as close friends.”
He had confessed that he does not believe in horoscopes as he a Catholic and as his Mother is by origin a Malay lady. During the interview Menaka evaded in making statements about his wife, daughter and about his divorce.
Through various web sites various stories about Nehara were published burying all facts about him.
