MEDICAL STUDENTS CARRY A MOCK COFFIN IMPLICATING S.B’s FUNERAL

Medical students clad in white coats carried a mock coffin depicting S.B’s funeral:

Yesterday there were traffic jams around many main roads in Colombo. Some were saying it may have been owing to a funeral procession. Those who saw it closely concluded that it was a procession by medical students clad in white coats carrying a mock coffin with the name of S.B with the symbol that his period of free education is dead.
They had intended to proceed to ‘Temple Trees’ from the medical college premises. They were however stopped by the Police at Kollupitiya.
For this protest procession, the medical students represented students of all universities. They had emphasised the period of S.B’s free education with the symbol ‘ S.B’s funeral’.
Because of this protest procession there were traffic congestions ay Lipton circus, Galle Road, Bauddhaloka mawatha, Ward Place and several other roads.
