POWER CUTS WITHOUT NOTICE

At several places scattered island wide power cuts have commenced without prior notice:

As a temporary solution to the existing power crisis, the Ceylon Electricity Board has commenced a tactful power cut exercise at various places scattered Island wide as a ploy to tide over their inability to supply the required electricity to its large clientele.
At the present moment too, a number of persons and institutions are affected by a power cut made without giving prior notice. Those who have been made to know, when inquiries were made that the power would be restored only after 3 hours.
Unconfirmed reports reveal that the authorities of the Ceylon Electricity Board are denying this fact about the power cuts they make is without giving prior notice. The action of power cuts without notice has inconvenienced greatly particularly those office workers who have been unable to prepare meals and ironing clothes etc.
Those industries to carry on their day to day operations are another hampered section owing to this act. Those who need electricity at wedding and funeral houses are also affected terribly as power cuts have been made without prior notice.
