To accept awards Nehara’s and Menaka’s mothers have come.
The “SLIM NEILSON PEOPLE’S AWARDS 2012” awards ceremony was held in a glittering function at “WATERS EDGE” hotel in Battaramulla. The event was organised to felicitate those who had excelled in vivid fields such as acting, business, Art and other fields etc.
At this awards ceremony Ranjan Ramanayake and Nehara Peiris were awarded the Best “Actor’s” and “Actress’s” awards respectively. Menaka Rajapaksa was felicitated by awarding him the best “Dancing” stars award. Nehara has now separated from her husband, but Menaka lives with his wife and children. Both Nehara and Menaka could not attend the function to receive their respective awards as both of them are away in America taking part in “shooting’ of a Tele drama.
An interesting thing is that the awards of both Nehara and Menaka were accepted on their behalf by their mothers. The function was attended by a large cross section of popular personalities from many fields.
