HAMBANTOTA JEALOUSY

Namal asks :
“What a jealousy is there with Hamabantota?”

The other day, the UNP, Parliamentarian Member of Parliament Gayantha Karunathilaka, party organizer of UNP in Galle district, was saying that a lot of people have lost their ancestral ways of earning a living after the highway was been built and that most of the jobs after the construction of the highway have been given to people in Hambantota. As a result the extremely irritated people who live in close proximity to the highway have been motivated to throw stones to the passing vehicles.
The Member of Parliament Namal Rajapakse while answering these questions stated that:
“What a jealousy is there with Hambantota… the highway is not only for residents of Hambantota. We have recruited people for the highway not only from Hambantota but also from Kalutara, Galle and Matara areas. 
Those workers represent the whole of Southern Province. Recently the people who are working at the highway told me that the Member of Parliament, Gayantha Karunathilaka stops at every corner to ask the workers as to where they are from, whether they are married and as to where their aunts live in. …..etc.
Actually I am so happy to hear that he has used all the exits in the Express Highway.”
