BIYAGAMA VILLAGE HOTEL OWNER MURDERED

“Biyagama Village” hotel owner hacked to death.

R.B.A Jayaratne, one of the famous businessmen in Dompe, had been hacked to death at Kimbulwatta. Mr.Jayaratne, the owner of the famous “Biyagama Village” also owns many businesses, assets and is also a land proprietor and a planter.
When he was on his way to one of his estates today morning, 6 people who have followed him on motorbikes have stopped him in Kimbulwatta, hacked him to death using sharp edged weapons and left his body on the street.
It is reported that the people on the estate who have witnessed this incident had been chased away by the murderers who had then had escaped without been apprehended. 
Police is carrying investigations to find whether they has had any business enemies. Jayaratne was 62 years of age when he passed away and it is said that he was a father of two children.
It is also reported that the acting Magistrate of Dompe too have visited the place where the murder took place. Dompe police is carrying on further investigations about this case to apprehend the murderers.
