FLOWER WREATH PLACED IN FRONT OF GEMUNU’S HOUSE

Gemunu who talks day in and day out about a private bus strike gets a flower wreath placed in front of his gate:

A flower wreath had been kept in front of Gemunu Wijeratne’s gate, in his Nugegoda residence who is the Chairman of the Private Bus Operators Association, by some unknown people. It was reported during the wee hours of the morning during the week end. In this connection he has lodged a complaint in the Mirihana Police Station. Investigations have already commenced.
During the last week end some unknown persons had come in the wee hours and had placed this flower wreath. They had come in a white van had been seen by Gemunu’s son living in the front house when he peeped to see why the dogs were barking. It is reported that the Chairman of the Private Bus Operators Association are planning for a sudden bus strike. It is learnt that he had been threatened by certain factions in regard to the proposed private bus strike.
