A court order has been issued to arrest Surendra Perera of ‘Sirasa’ runner up in ‘Super Star’ season 2 Contest. The reason is for badly misbehaving in a hotel in Dambulla under the influence of liquor. Surendra had gone a pleasure trip along with four of his friends and their families to Sigiriya. On the way they had stopped at a hotel to have dinner. As at that hotel the consumption of liquor was prohibited he and his friends have gone to the van they had come in parked outside and consumed liquor.
When they were coming in to the hotel for dinner one youngster had identified ‘Surendra’ and told “Hi Surendra Aiya, I also sent ’SMS’s to you but it was unfortunate that he could not win and had even shaken hands”. Since Surendra
When the owner of the hotel had come to resolve the matter Surendra had taken out a pistol and had tried to shoot into the air it is reported. The hotel owner had made a complaint to the Dambulla Police station. However may be due some influence Surendra’s name had not been recorded in the statement.

Surendra Perera was the ‘runner up’ in the “Sirasa” Super Star season 2 contest. He is now 33 years old, a resident of Chilaw. He is also been accused for recording famous Jothipala’s songs.
The victim, a 23 year old Saman Madushan Somaratna is presently been treated at the Dambulla hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained during the assault.
