Demise of Anuruddha Ratwatte12.15 P.M
It was reported just a while ago that the former Minister of Defence Aunuruddha Ratwatte had passed away at the General Hospital, Kandy.
He was a close relative of former President Chandrika Kumaranatunga and was the son of former Diyawadane Nilame Harris Lewke. He was under treatment at the General Hospital, Kandy for an ailment. He was 73 years old at the time of his demise.
He was a great man but had flaws as any normal human being. He maintained his loyalty to his family, friends, party and above all to the causes he believed in. It was truly a sad betrayal by the SLFP when he was not considered although being a member of the nationa list, but the party chose to appoint Malini Fonseka for some stupid reason.
