365 DAY DANSAL AT ANURADHAPURA

A dansela throughout 365 days of the year at Anuradhapura

To felicitate President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s birthday and the day he assumed duties as the President arrangements have been made to commence a dansela at Anuradhapura from the 19th November continuously for 365 days and also until his term as President is over.
The Alms Hall has been erected neat the ‘Ruwanweli seya’. The idea is to provide lunch for thousands of devotees who throng to Anuradhapura daily to worship the ‘Ruwanveli Seya’,’Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya’ and the other ‘Atamasthana’ Buddhist religious places of worship scattered in Anuradhapura. The Agricultural and Wild life Ministries, Agricultural Department, Agricultural Centres, S.M. Chandrasena Foundation, Buddhist Foundations and Organisations, Voluntary organisations have already volunteered to assist and render their service in this exercise.
