HOW PRESIDENT REACTED AND SUFFERED ON HEARING BHARATHA’S KILLING

When the President heard about the killing he was dashing the table in anger and was saying “Bharatha was killed by them” “ Bharatha was killed by them in anger”.

At the time Bharatha was brutally killed the President was at a hotel in Hambantota waiting to go for the opening of the South Asian Beach Sports festival in Hambantota beach.
At that time he was having tea with Ministers Dilan Perera and Mahindananda Aluthgamage, suddenly Dilan Perera received a message from the Defence Ministry that Bharatha had succumbed to death following gunshot injuries.Immediately Minister Dilan Perera conveyed the news to the President.”What Bharatha had been shot dead?” He yelled by saying it by dashing his hands on the table.
The real story was interpreted by the Minister Dilan Perera. Hearing the news the President was so disappointed and was thinking for a moment himself.
He after some thought gave instructions to cancel his opening ceremony speech and for the organisers of the South Asian Beach Sports Festival to proceed accordingly and to commence the events as scheduled.
