A Tele Drama about wives grievances by Wimal’s wife SHASHIE

Our Ministers are always busy and hence they have hardly any time to see to the needs of their Wives’. Hence Wives’ of Ministers tend to be occupied in other fields of interest. They have a lot of matters to express. Some have ventured into a new field in ‘Arts’.
Wife of Minister Wimal Weerawansa has commenced work on a Tele drama. It has been appropriately named as ‘Wives” ( Birindevo).The script elaborates the grievances faced by Wives. The concept of the script and the lyrics of the songs have been written by Shashi Weerawnsa herself. The female characters are to be portrayed by Sabeetha,Kanchana, Dilhani,Nimanthi,Umayangana and Malini Fonseka. The male roles are to be portrayed by Lucky,Menaka,Sahan and Kumara Thirimadura. The Tele drama is directed by Suranga Mendis. The ‘Muhurath’ was held last week. Shown below are some photographs taken at that occasion.
