It had been a practice for them to have breakfast together. On that day he had left home without even having a cup of tea. Usually he used to come home daily for lunch. On that day he had not answered to a telephone call she had given him.
After coming to know about the incident she and her daughter had gone to the Colombo National Hospital instead of the Mulleriyawa hospital. How the incident had taken place, she is yet to understand.
A few days before the incident all of them had been watching a film of Amitha Batchchan. Hirunika had commented that the day he dies the whole world would weep .In response Baratha had said “The day I die also, something unbelievable would occur”.
