THE BRIBERY COMMISSION CHIEF TOO A VICTIM OF BAD PETROL

The Bribery Commission chief who accepted complaints regarding the sale of bad petrol had also been a victim, as his vehicle too had been damaged.

Member of Paliament, Dayasiri Jayasekera and a team had visited the Jagath Balapatabendige, Chief of Bribery and Corruption Commission a former high court Judge to discuss matters with regard to the damages caused to vehicles by pumping crude/bad petrol. Whilst accepting the complaint he had said that his vehicle too had been damaged owing to bad petrol. He had to spend a sum of Rs 75,000/- for repairs.
He had further said that owing to this inferior quality petrol he receives around 30 complaints a day from vehicle owners.
