P.C. MEMBER’S EXAM SCAM

Provincial Council Member nabbed while attempting to exchange written examination papers with a female external student.

The Advanced level examination for external students are also held these days .At a centre at Swarnapali Balika Vidyalaya in Anuradhapura ,a Provincial Council Member and a female external student had arrived late to this examination centre to answer the Sinhala paper under the old syllabus. The Examiners at the centre had noticed that the Provincial Council Member and the girl who arrived late had not inserted their respective index numbers on the answer papers, which had arisen some suspicion among the Examining officers at the centre.
On investigation they had come to a conclusion that the girl was to insert the Index number of the Provincial Council member on her answer paper. When the Head of the examination centre had questioned the Provincial Council member he had been terribly embarrassed and both had refrained from coming to the Examination hall the following day.
This incident had been reported to the Examination Co-ordinating office. An investigation is to be carried out shortly for impersonation.
