PASSENGER REMANDED FOR SHOWING IN HIS MOBILE A ‘BLUE’ VIDEO

Male passenger assaulted by passengers and remanded by Piliyandala Police for showing a sex video to a female commuter seated next to him

When travelling in Kesbewa bound bus in the 120 route, COLOMBO-KESBEWA. a youngster had been watching a ‘blue’ video, in his mobile phone while seated next to female commuter. As it was not a rush hour all passengers were seated inside the bus.
After a few moments he had directed the screen of his mobile with the ‘blue’ video towards the female commuter seated next to him. She had showed her unwillingness to view it. When this was observed by the passengers a few had approached the male passenger, who tried to switch it off by pressing some buttons, but could not succeed and hence these ‘blue’ pictures were seen by the other commuters.
The passengers immediately reacted to the action of the youngster and through sheer anger had assaulted the youngster and as the bus was proceeding towards Piliyandala had handed over him to the Piliyandala Police. The Police Officers too had scrutinized the youngsters mobile and found several ‘blue’ videos within it and decided to remand him for further investigations to be conducted later.
