Madhu Madhawa to politics

It is reported that popular singer Madhu Madhawa Aravinda is to enter politics and is expected to get nominations to contest for the forthcoming Municipal Council Elections, Colombo under the UPFA party.
He is also a very popular judge at the Sirasa ‘Super star’ Reality contest. He had been earlier married but separated and divorced from actress Nilmini Tennakoon. This was given wide publicity in the local media.
However he had never spoken of his idea of entering politics.

Was there any objection from home for marrying Madhu’s second marriage?
Madhu’s second wife Renusha in an interview with the ‘Rivira’ paper had disclosed that after completing her studies in the University, she had met Madhu Madhawa for the first time at the Bellanwila temple. After having had a love affair for 4 long years they have got married.
The question was asked whether there were any objections from home to marry a person already married and divorced. The answer given was that her home front never objects to her decisions.
In the meantime Renusha had said she is yet to see the daughter ‘Swetha’ from the first marriage of Madhu Madhawa.
