CASE FOR DAMAGING FACIAL TREATMENT

A young lady employee attached to the Mahaweli Authority has filed a case against a Kirullapone Salon for a wrong facial treatment:

A young lady, by profession a computer web designer attached to the Mahaweli Authority, a native of Polonnaruwa boarded in a house at Kirullapone had gone to a beauty salon ‘strange’, located along Havelock Road ,Kirullapone for a facial clean up last December 2010.
As her face had got disfigured with red spots and wounds, she then had to be treated by doctors’, as her condition did not improve. Owing to her condition she was forced to take leave often from her work place and ultimately she had lost her job.
The medical reports were sent to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital for scrutiny, after she lodged a complaint at the Kirullapone Police Station. The doctors have confirmed that the treatment made to her face has done an unusual damage to her face.
The Police had been advised to obtain further information from two girls Piyumi and Thanuja working in the salon and to submit them to the Magistrate on the next date of hearing.
