Our Lasith Malinga while playing in the IPL cricket in India won the hearts of many Bollywood Actresses. That story is now stale.
The Australian legendary spin bowler Shane Warne, because of playing in the IPL cricket in India has become a very famous personality. By posing for many Indian advertisements it has been smelt that he possesses the talent to act. The photograph alongside is ample testimony in support of this comment.
It is reliably learnt that he has received many invitations to act. This was revealed by him to the media in India. “He had told that he loves the Indian culture and the passion Indian fans have for cricket and is expected to remain longer in India as he has received several invitations by the bollywood cinema. He had said that he will decide shortly”.
The 41 year old Warne’s present girl friend is model and film actress Elizebeth Hartly.She is encouraging Warne to enter the Bollywood cinema.
About a decade back our cricket fans hated Warne as he had constantly made bad remarks about our cricketers in the print and electronic media. The reason was because his closest rival spin bowler was our Murali.
However when he heard that Sri Lanka’s coastal belt was devastated by the Tsunami in 2004 he paid a visit to see the damages, particularly to the International Cricket Stadium in Galle. He even visited the effected villages. Then during that visit he became friendly with Murali. Then all past bad memories were forgotten. He had confessed repeatedly that he loves the culture that exists in Sri Lanka and India.
