A VESAK PANDAL DEVOID OF A JATHAKA STORY

IN THE HEART OF COLOMBO A PANDAL HAS BEEN ERECTED DEVIATING FROM THE NORMAL CULTURE OF TRADITIONAL PANDOLS

It is the normal tradition when erecting a Pandal to depict a Jathaka story. In complete contrast and against the past traditions and our Buddhist culture a Pandal has been erected at the Colombo ‘Buddha Rashmi Gangarama Vesak zone’. The story depicts and elaborates solely on Women’s oppression.
This Pandal is to be exhibited between the 18th to the 22nd. It had been sponsored by ‘CARE INTRNATIONAL’ It is a production of JWT Advertising.
